A Standing Desk & Other Stuff

It's Been A Busy Couple Of Months

The Standing Desk

Project wise I have been working on a standing desk. This is for my web developer who is helping me with a new mobile friendly version of the website.

The standing desk is designed for his exact height. Hopefully he doesn't shrink or get any taller.

Poor Old Hand Plane

I broke the 100+ year old handle on my No. 6 hand plane. A big bummer because I use it all the time over a motorized joint planer to flatten and square boards. Basically because I have yet to get a joint planer that isn't worthless.

After some research and reaching out to a fellow woodworker, a solution was found. I just figured out how to glue and clamp it back together. You can barely see where it broke, and I'm back in business.

Restoration Of The Bench

Also, the cast iron park bench restoration project is coming along. More of a personal project with far too many hours dedicated to it. But, it will be sick when it's finished.

Some Of The Other Projects

My first attempt at making a cutting board with a juice groove, a sliding top coffee table that will double as a hidden gun cabinet, and I'm still milling and cutting up salvaged barn beams. As well as cutting a bunch of other firewood for my friend. He has been kind enough to store the beams on his property. Plus, many other projects in the works.

This has been a great start to a summer.
